Facilitate

RiskIQ’s facilitation services fall into at least two stages – the essential face to face work with groups to draw out ideas, assumptions, opinions and so on and then the analysis of what that could mean for the organisation. The latter is NOT simply a workshop report (although we do provide one), but includes the deeper insights that come from our approach. We facilitate to enable powerful change.

Objective: To enable powerful change.

How: RiskIQ’s facilitation services fall into at least two stages – the essential face to face work with groups to draw out ideas, assumptions, opinions and so on and then the analysis of what that could mean for the organisation. The latter is NOT simply a workshop report (although we do provide one), but includes the deeper insights that come from our approach.

We cannot enable powerful change unless and until we understand the human elements that enable the status quo.

The best description of how and why facilitation is important can be found on the International Association of Facilitators.

“The International Association of Facilitators (IAF) is a participatory organisation with members in more than 65 countries.
If we were to use just one sentence to describe what the IAF does and stands for, it would be "enabling powerful change". Every meeting or process that is facilitated has an impact on the individuals and the groups of which they are a part. Good facilitation can change the way people think and act, and ultimately support them to positively change the world around them.”

We have facilitated more events than we can remember. We abide by the Code of Ethics of the IAF (https://www.iaf-world.org/site/professional/iaf-code-of-ethics)

1.    We are in service to our clients, using our group facilitation competencies to add value to their work.
2.    We openly acknowledge any potential conflict of interest.
3.    We respect the culture, rights, and autonomy of the group.
4.    We use processes, methods and tools responsibly.
5.    We strive to engender an environment of respect and safety where all participants trust that they can speak freely and           where individual boundaries are honoured. We use our skills, knowledge, tools, and wisdom to elicit and honour the               perspectives of all.
6.    We practice stewardship of process and impartiality toward content.
7.    We maintain confidentiality of information.
